Bi-Polor Diagnosis

My son got involved in drugs, alcohol, etc…. due to a stressful job situation and a move. To make a very long story short, he was in a hospital for about a week and the imbalance could not be determined. He was about to be sent to a mental institution for several months to be evaluated. We knew that he would be drugged up 24/7.

He was of age and had refused the drug they wanted him to take while in the hospital. When the nurse read the side effects to us, we were appalled! Her very words were: “All drugs have side-effects.” She wanted us to try and persuade our son to take it.

Through nothing short of a miracle, he was released into our custody (his parents) after a court hearing. He was so paranoid and not his normal self at all. He wasn’t eating right and his system was a mess. Through much persuasion I (Mom) talked him into going to Ellen for counseling. I had to agree not to tell anyone! I kept his confidence.

Ellen was able to bring him back to balance in mind and body. For the last several years (4) he has been able to hold down a job and live in his own place. He has risen in the company he works for and has been put in a leadership position over a crew of men. We were just amazed how Ellen was able to bring our son back to the one we used to know without drugs and the terrible, damaging side effects.

Several months after going to her we were visiting with fiends and our son was also there. (I never betrayed his confidence all this time) My husband was telling our friends (who are very, sick) how much Ellen had done for him. Our son piped up and told them what help she had been to himself and how much he enjoyed the consultation. Needless to say, I was shocked and my husband had no clue about the visit. He hasn’t been paranoid about anything since. He freely talks about it to others now also.
